To receive a fake review on Google, it is very sad to hear on any Business profile. Now a day it is not a rare occurrence but it happens mostly. Though, it is a common fact for any business that it is facing. Many of the renounced business have reviewed fake poster in the past recent years. To remove fake or spammy Google review is like to feel as more frustrating. However, it is still very important to create an evidence to remove the review, even it is also a fact that there is no guarantee that Google will take it down.
What Happen When We Receive a Fake Review–
- Responding to the Review- Until you are not able to remove the review, we don’t have the ability to respond. If the review is somehow fake then we won’t be able in future to actually resolve the person. Though, we can also make clear to other customer and related prospective customer that we are aware of the review. There are some tips we can find on the Google that it has some guidelines for leaving a review. The response can be defensive too, we can keep it brief too, and our best response will work better for negative review too.
- Notify the Review- We can flag the team at Google for the violation of their review policy by indicating the certain review. Regarding the review, there is a question and a flag icon will appear. After that we have to click on flag icon and then we will be able to take the report on the policy violation page. Then, we have to enter an E-mail address and selecting the Violation type.
Flagging a Review–
- After flagging the review, there is power in numbers and after that, it might be possible that it may help to increase the awareness and action.
- Once the review is flagged, then we have to wait for certain days for a response to come or also for to be removed. But the review is loaded with wrong and hated speech or it is loaded with sensitive content, I would advise to escalate it immediately. In last we have to flag the report and immediately have to contact Google support team member.

5. Fill the required contact parameters, adding screenshot of review in question and wait patiently.
